Nicole Brown, Secretary
Nicole has shared her life with dogs as long as she can remember, but it was a most unlikely teammate that introduced her to the sport of agility. Ebony, a rescue Great Dane needing some behavioural help, found the two in agility classes and the rest is history. An active participant in team sports her whole life, the tradition was natural. Learning the sport is challenging and Ebony was patient and willing to work along side Nicole forming an amazing bond.
Today Nicole shares her home with two Border Collies - dogs slightly more physically suited to the dog sport world. Rowan has introduced Nicole to rally obedience, disc sports, dock jumping and sheep herding, in addition to agility. Together they have travelled as far as Iowa to dock jump, and Georgia for the US Open. Winning the 26" AAC Regionals West Championship was the highlight of their 2016 season. New puppy Keen is chomping at the bit to keep up with his older brother.
An active volunteer serving on the Ontario DockDogs board of directors in 2015 and 2016, Nicole enjoys helping out and ensuring each competitor has equal opportunity to enjoy their sport to the fullest.
She looks forward to helping the CKC Canadian Team achieve success in the future as secretary.
